2nd post of my favorites design from Fellowship project. Enjoy
I’m really happy to finally share a small glimpse of a character design project I worked on for a video game through West Studio, in collaboration with the newly formed Believer Studio.
This project lasted almost two years, during which we were responsible for producing a very large amount of daily character explorations. It was an intense but incredibly rewarding experience, and honestly a project that did me a lot of good. I’m very grateful to be able to show a small part of it today while the game is still in development, thank you to Believer Studio for allowing this.
Here are some of my favorite approved sketches, created at different moments throughout those two years. Some briefs were quite open, others more precise, but I was given an almost total freedom to experiment with the lore and the story of the game aswell as my process and style. I truly hope that one day I’ll be able to share the many annotations, ideas, and narrative thoughts that initially surrounded these designs, unfortunately, they had to be removed for obvious NDA reasons.
A second post should be coming soon, and I hope that one day I’ll be able to show the full scope of this project.
Huge shoutout and love to Jeanne Plounevez, Christian Erbe, & Kuran Wangwith whom we did an incredible amount of work.
Thanks to West Studio, especially Cristina Alberto and David Kegg, respectively my producer and my art director on the project.
And finally, thank you to Believer Studio for trusting us with this project, it truly made me grow, helped me develop my artistic skills, and strengthened my confidence over these two years.
Good luck to the team to finish the game, I believe in you. ;)
